I am pleased to re-open our doors to the public as we steadily move forward from the Covid pandemic. The year ahead has both hopes and challenges with innovative projects currently underway which will only enhance the many services provided by my office.
The Tax Collector lobby is now open and accepting in-person payments. I am pleased to welcome taxpayers back to our office and provide them with the outstanding customer service for which the Tax Collector is known.
A variety of payment options are available for your convenience. You may submit your payments securely online by electronic funds transfer or by calling (909) 387-8308. Online banking and eCheck payments are completely free and safe. You may also mail us a personal check, money order, or a cashier’s check.
While I can’t move the property tax deadline, I can waive penalties wherever possible. If you have been negatively affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, you can apply for a waiver of penalties on late payments resulting from the pandemic.
For those visiting the ATC building, face coverings and contactless temperature checks are required. Please remember to maintain social distance while conducting business inside the office. Office hours are Monday- Friday from 8:00am -5:00pm.

The program allows homeowners who are seniors, are blind, or have a disability to defer current-year property taxes on their principal residence if they meet certain criteria including 40 percent equity in the home and an annual household income of $45,000 or less.
The applications filing period is from October 1 to February 10. Please call (800) 952-5661 or email postponement@sco.ca.gov if you prefer to have an application mailed to you. You may also call our office at (909) 387-8308.

FREE eCheck (electronic check) is a digital version of the paper check. The process mirrors paper checks, but is done electronically. The funds are withdrawn from the taxpayer’s bank account (usually a checking account), transferred over the ACH network, then deposited into the Tax Collector’s office bank account. There is no charge to use an electronic check.
To process your payment using a MasterCard, VISA, American Express, or Discover Card, our third party vendor charges a convenience fee of 2.25% (minimum of $1.95) for credit cards. The convenience fee is not retained by the Tax Collector.
San Bernardino County was the first county to post a database that allowed property owners to estimate their supplemental tax bills or access mobile home tax clearance certificates online.
